February 13th 2019 was my first WWW so today, week 52, completes my first year of Mediterranean Messages blogs. Coming to the end of this year, and having just returned from visiting with my family, I am feeling reflective as this is another ending/beginning on my journeys through this life. When we can move ourselves into the energy of release then it allows the free flow of life to be gentler with us as we experience life in all its majesty; good and bad, happy and sad.
On Tuesday, my last full day in my hometown, I drew back the curtains and was greeted with this lovely rainbow. SunSigns.Org define a rainbow as ‘can motivate us to continue and
endure through dark times.’ . . . ‘provide us with hope and motivation’... Interestingly, I was talking to a friend on the telephone at the time who was going through a difficult phase. As was I, for my lovely Mum is dying.
I celebrate that at 94 years she is still with us and that my four siblings are also still ‘above the turf’ but we are human and I am an emotional
creature with my rising sign in Cancer, one of the three water signs that nurture emotionality. With sun sign cusp Virgo/Libra I have the singularity of the first with the balancing act of the second tempering my emotion to be more within than shown externally.
What we ‘see’ is never the full story. Surface vision is just that and this is why it is important to learn to harness our judgements.
I can’t say it is an easy task as, I have found, it is prevalent in the world in which I live. It is up to us to recognise the ‘rainbows’ that are sent to lift us out of darkness and see the beauty through the ‘rain’.
It is 14:14 as I check out some information on the ‘net re rainbows. It is important not to let our ego mind drag us down i.e. that ‘feeling sorry for ourselves’ route, but hold ourselves in gratitude and positivity; embracing the natural flow of life and death in all things.

In a single rainbow, sunlight spreads into a spectrum of colors from red to violet. But in a double rainbow, the colors are inverted, with red appearing on the inside and violet on the outside.
According to Chinese mythology, red represents the feet, and violet symbolizes the head. Therefore, a single rainbow signifies a human descending from heaven to earth. A double rainbow, due to its reversal of colors, represents the movement from earth to heaven and is considered to be a sign of future success.
The rainbow I was watching turned from a single to a double with the second never fully presenting itself and from that I felt that this was not yet Mums time to ‘go home.’
In first hearing about Mum’s terminal condition, I got the message that she will make it to her 95th but this was possibly just sent to ease my pain – we will see. Thank you Angels.
From red to violet these colours are the flow of our Chakras, a private rainbow that we hold within our energies that can be worked on to assist us in living this life. Have you ever consciously zoned in to these spiralling energy points?
When I work on my own I imagine them as their colour and feel the respective meanings and the rate of their movement. Sometimes I find them spinning backwards and slowly stop them to set them again in a forward motion.
I note their speed and try to balance them all in equilibrium. Most people I have known work from the base upwards but I have always been guided to start at the top and work down, allowing the energy of the first to flow as part of a bigger spiral that joins them all together one by one. Also, connecting to Universal Energies above the crown chakra and Mother Earth below. It has been suggested by a friend that I create a guided meditation on this and now I have the YouTube channel I think now would be a good time to do this. What do you think?
