Shadowscapes Tarot Cards – Pui-Mun Law & Moore

Friday: Letting go of the old, the things that no longer serve us. Making room, space for the new to come to us. When we don’t choose to do this then life has a habit of putting us in a position that makes it happen. Listen to our intuition and act on the necessary changes we are being guided to take. When we eventually depart this planet we take nothing with us other than what is in our ‘hearts’, what we have learned while on our journey here. When we learn of what really matters to us in this life, knowing that we are temporary custodians, no more, then we can lighten our load and rise like the phoenix out of the ashes of all that we thought necessary to have in our lives. This card is about destruction of the old to shine new light into or onto our lives. About liberation, leaving things behind to embrace the new. Card of awakening, healing, transmutation and rebirth. Allowing endings to happen which then lets us manifest something new. Shed the old skin, draw a line, out with the old and in with the new. Metamorphosis, going through change to bring about transformation. This, I think, is my most favourite card of the deck. It is portrayed with a positive slant rather than negative. I think of my own life and how many times I have been the phoenix rising from the ashes of different aspects of the life that I had been living and moved on to something new. It is not that I have always welcomed the change but it has always been for the better. Let us find our wings today like the phoenix and use them to lift us up out of any old and unnecessary routines etc. that no longer serve us.
