Thursday: The only zero in the deck, a one off. The first card of the Major Arcana, the cards in the deck that carry more energy than the minor suits; I have heard them referred to as ‘fated energy’.
This card is represented by the planet Uranus and the Sun sign it rules, Aquarius. I love the innocence and trust that shines out of this depiction of the card. Embracing change, the unknown, liberation, new beginnings. The phrase ‘stepping up to the plate’ rings out to me and defines the difficult steps that we all face at some point in our life. The fact is that if we don’t take ourselves to ‘the edge’ then we will always remain where we are; same old same old! Life is shown to us through the cycles of nature – change is inevitable. Why fight it, why fear it, instead embrace it. Maybe we will fall but maybe we will fly. Can we stop ourselves from the possibility of that? We only deny ourselves in doing so. Who do we think we protect by not being open to change. Make friends with the energy, it will go one way or the other unless you don’t try for then it will go nowhere.
