Sunday: This card is associated with God’s representative and in the Ryder Waite deck is shown as the Pope. A man who has been voted to be the leader of the people. Today, in this deck, we see the beautiful natural depiction that shows us that God is in all things and what best in nature to represent Him, a tree. The tree is rooted, it can’t get up and move, so it has learned to be and still lives a full life that gives and receives. There is a link to the shepherd and the lamb of God in the stick/ crook/ crosier and the little red bird makes me think of Catholic Cardinals and unity of faith. This card can be about dealing with authority figures, about spiritual and moral development or being in search for meaning. About shinning the light from within/ finding answers from within.
Card of tradition, of order and rules. Linked to the zodiac sign of Taurus. As much as Taurus is happy in a settled existence they can be uncomfortable with change. Fives are of change and, as mentioned yesterday, if we focus on the negatives of change, that will only keep us stuck in that energy. It is time to change our inhibited thinking that keeps us stuck. Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus so another nod to yesterday’s card. On a third day of five energy let us embrace change, for that is the spiral of life, we do not stand still. But, do not hold ourselves in fear of an unknown future, let us vision a beautiful life ahead for us all. Holding ourselves in fear only makes us be open to manipulation by those who are only too happy to benefit from our lack of power. Learn to stand in our own power and know that it is more than alright to do so, it is what we were born to be; wonderful and unique however we are.
