Sunday: Ending this week on a royal note we have the double water element of both Queen and Cups. Where there are endings there are also beginnings and today we have the first day of August. August being named after the first Roman emperor, Augustus Caesar.
This card asks us to come back to who we are with a new level of understanding what’s important to us in terms of love, family, and our sanctuary from the challenges of the external world.
We get there through acknowledging that we are more than just a brain and a body, that we have intuition, an inner knowing that reaches deeper and further beyond our human existence.
I love the depiction of this card, how the queen through her faith and trust, her intuition, knows that the turtles will be there for her to step on as she walks forward on her path without looking.
She is totally in the flow of who she is understanding where she needs to place her energy. Do we today?
Are we in our element?
Is our self protected?
As in Rudyard Kipling's ‘If’ . . . ‘can we keep our head when all about you [us] are losing theirs’ ?
